Something Passing Between People

Six of Pentacles walks through an amount moving from somebody who has it to somebody who does not, and everything that comes attached. Nothing about the transfer is complicated in itself. Something about what it establishes between the two parties is, and the establishing happens automatically rather than being agreed by anybody, which is why this is the single most common source of permanent difficulty between people who were previously fine. It is the single most common source of permanent difficulty between people who were previously fine. Nobody says that. Something establishing itself automatically rather than being agreed governs everything after. Nothing about the transfer itself is complicated. Something given carries a structure nobody negotiated. Nobody holds the measure except the giver. The generosity and the imbalance are both real.

The Measure Is Held by One Party

He holds the scales and drops the coins. Materially that names the arrangement precisely: whoever supplies the amount also determines how much, when, and on what basis, and there is no independent instrument anywhere in the image. Nothing about the figure was negotiated between equals. Something about that asymmetry exists in every arrangement of this kind and gets acknowledged in almost none of them. It exists in every arrangement of this kind and gets acknowledged in almost none. Nobody names it. Something with no independent instrument leaves the measure in one hand. Nothing about the figure was negotiated. Nothing about a single transfer establishes an arrangement. Somebody has to state the terms.

Gift or Loan Was Never Stated

The single most useful observation available here concerns the omission that produces nearly all the difficulty. Whether something was a gift or a loan generally does not get said, because saying it at the moment of transfer is uncomfortable for both parties. Nothing about the omission was anybody's dishonesty. Something about it means each person holds a different version, and both discover that considerably later and under worse conditions. Each person holds a different version and both discover that considerably later. Nobody checks earlier. Something uncomfortable at the moment of transfer produces the omission reliably. Nothing about it was dishonest. Something given carries a structure nobody negotiated. Nobody holds the measure except the giver.

What Receiving Costs

The most underdescribed thing here is the position of the person accepting. Taking an amount establishes something that continues after the transfer, and it is not a posture anybody chooses. Nothing about the material improvement removes it. Something about it is why people decline assistance that would have worked, and the declining gets read as pride and is almost always something else entirely and considerably more accurate. The declining gets read as pride and is almost always something else entirely and considerably more accurate. Nobody makes the correct reading. Something establishing a continuing position accompanies every transfer. Nothing about the improvement removes it. The generosity and the imbalance are both real. Nothing about a single transfer establishes an arrangement.

The Scales Are Level

Whatever else is true, the measure is being applied honestly. That detail distinguishes this from exploitation in the ordinary sense and makes the arrangement considerably harder to be inside. Nothing about it is unfair in any way anybody could point at. Something about it is unequal and fair simultaneously, which means there is nothing to object to and something to endure, and both parties know it. There is nothing to object to and something to endure, and both parties know it. Nobody states it. Something unequal and fair simultaneously is harder to occupy than something unjust. Nothing about it is unfair in any pointable way. Somebody has to state the terms. Something given carries a structure nobody negotiated.

Two Recipients and One Amount

There are two figures below and the coins go to one. Materially that raises what this image leaves unresolved: within a family or a group, resources get distributed by whoever holds them according to criteria nobody states. Nothing about the decisions is arbitrary in most cases. Something about their being unstated means everybody not selected constructs an account, and those accounts last for decades. Those accounts last for decades. Nobody corrects them. Something distributed on unstated criteria produces an explanation from everybody not selected. Nothing about the decisions is arbitrary in most cases. Nobody holds the measure except the giver. The generosity and the imbalance are both real.

Nobody Is Depicted Afterwards

The image shows a moment and nothing following. What this becomes across two years is entirely absent, and that absence is the actual question. Nothing about a single transfer establishes anything. Something about it becoming a standing arrangement rather than remaining an instance is what determines everything, and the two are indistinguishable at the point depicted and distinguishable only by what gets said. The two are distinguishable only by what gets said. Nobody says anything. Something becoming a standing arrangement rather than remaining an instance determines everything. Nothing about a single transfer establishes it. Nothing about a single transfer establishes an arrangement. Somebody has to state the terms.

What Would Prevent Most of It

The practical instruction available here is unglamorous and almost never followed: state at the moment of transfer whether it is a gift or a loan, and if a loan, when. Nothing about that conversation is comfortable and it takes about ninety seconds. Something about it prevents nearly every difficulty this card describes, and its absence is what produces the ones nobody can subsequently resolve. Something given carries a structure nobody negotiated. Nobody holds the measure except the giver. The generosity and the imbalance are both real. Nothing about a single transfer establishes an arrangement. Somebody has to state the terms. Something given carries a structure nobody negotiated. Nobody holds the measure except the giver.
